On tonight's programme we will look back at the history of Scottish Covenant and Reformer Alexander Henderson (1583–1646), a man who led Scotland through a time of national crisis. We look at the National Covenant of 1638 and the events which led to the Solemn League and Covenant of 1643. What can we learn for today from Henderson's example of resistance to tyranny? When is it time for the Christian to resist rulers? What is tyranny Biblically?
