At the fourth and final concert of the season, we focus on Nordic music. Together with students from the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the Danish String Quartet will play folk music as well as works for string orchestra by Carl Nielsen. As is tradition, we also make room on stage for one of the conservatory's young promising string quartets: the Monbijou Quartet, which will play a string quartet by the Swedish composer Stenhammar and Mendelssohn's string octet—the latter performed together with the Danish String Quartet.
