Before you hire anyone, ask yourself these 4 questions:
#1 - do you have their role clearly defined and their tasks organized with SOPs - standard operating procedures - as well as an onboarding plan. If not, they’re coming into a mess and won’t be able to hit the ground running.
#2 - Do you know how you’ll spend the time they free up? In most cases, it should be on income producing activities that will pay for them.
#3 - Do you have 2-3 months of their salary set aside to take the strain off of you?
And #4 - Have you dealt with your hiring hangups?
If you struggle to trust ppl, think that no one can love your business as much as you, have stories going through your head about how terrible bosses are, or feel like an impostor…
That’s gonna show up in your energy. You gotta deal with your hangups before you turn your new hire into your latest regret.
