IMPD is investigating after four people were found shot on Indy's near north side early Tuesday.

Around 1:15 a.m. Sept. 17, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3100 block of North Capitol Avenue, just north of West 30th Street and two blocks west of The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.

Officers found a woman who had been shot, and moments later, a man who had been shot approached them. Both victims were "stable" when taken to Eskenazi Hospital, an IMPD spokesperson said, adding that the victims are cooperating with detectives.

During the investigation, a car arrived at the scene with two gunshot victims, a man and a woman. Police said it's believed the victims were shot in the 3700 block of Boulevard Place, near 38th Street, where a crime scene was found. That's roughly a mile away from the Capitol Avenue scene.

Both of those victims were "stable" when taken to Methodist Hospital, police said.
