In this episode of Shadows & Static, we’re diving into four of the strangest and most terrifying reported ghost stories involving people who were simply doing their jobs after dark.

In 2003, security cameras at England’s historic Hampton Court Palace captured something strange: a ghostly figure appearing to open a heavy fire door.
3. The Locksmith — Eastern State Penitentiary
While working inside Philadelphia’s notorious Eastern State Penitentiary, locksmith Gary Johnson reported an encounter with an unseen force while removing an old prison lock.
4. The Española Ghost — New Mexico
A reported encounter involving Officer Carl Romero and a strange figure captured on security footage in Española, New Mexico.
