Unlike Linux, Windows isn’t an OS that’s exactly known for its privacy protection. Your data is electronic currency for ad-brokers and is being collected at alarming rates. While you can’t completely stop all data collection on Windows, there are things you can do to have a modicum of privacy on the OS. So, there are specific features I always disable to improve privacy on Windows.

c. How you can opt out of sending any optional data

2. Disable Your Advertising ID

b. How to stop activity tracking across services and apps to serve up more relevant ads based on what you do

a. How to to block certain app access to your activity, location, and devices on your PC
b. How you can stop websites from accessing your laptop’s webcam
c. How to block app access to my activity through app permissions in settings
d. How to turn off the “Let apps access your microphone” switch to disable access for all of them
