The Oregon BDR was updated in February 2026. The first two and a half sections were redone entirely and have moved west to the rim above Summer Lake. This is my first time riding and camping the entire new Oregon BDR. On day 1, we finished ORBDR section 1 and half of ORBDR section 2.

The updated Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route is a massive improvement over the previous iteration. Oregon is my favorite BDR route and this new version has only improved everything I already loved about it.
