Dream Satellite 2 is a celebration of 20 years of Yume Nikki. Thank you to all of our members, and to all of you who keep the spirit of the community alive.
Ive recently participated in a collab album that celebrated Yume Nikkis 20th anniversary! Its one of my all time favorite games, so I was very happy to be a part of it.
I cant quite explain it but this might be one of my favorite contributions to the album. Theres something about the layering of these different tuned percussions, even though the structure of the piece is very simple. A new layer is being added every few bars and from the halfway point onward the layers disappear again, one by one.

Welcome to a world of distorted minds.
Mycorrhiza is a love letter to horror manga in the form of a visual novel. Some of our biggest inspirations include the works of Junji Ito and Masaaki Nakayama.
While the protagonist is trying to find a way back home, reality distorts and people’s morals start shifting in cruel and unexpected ways. A strange plant transforming animals, a strange comedy trend and a strange building trapping people. Each of the three arcs explores different terrors.
The game features a manga aesthetic (with CGs drawn by a manga artist), as well as a focus on dynamic audio.

A documentary filmmaker decided to center his next project around analog horror. While researching, he stumbles upon a VHS tape being sold on an online marketplace that was found at a cults gathering place after all but one member had suddenly disappeared. He decides to watch the tape and film his live reaction for one of his documentarys segments. At first, he assumes it to be an amateur creation, but soon finds out that there might be more to the tape than he thought.
The game features multiple endings that depend on your choices throughout the game. We encourage you to try to get the good ending. Seeing all routes takes about one hour, depending on your reading speed.

Little did I know that it had key changes and a modulation that ensued in an engraving chaos (feel free to check out the sheets: The key changes every four bars and the modulation at 0:50 is really weird to transcribe).
I havent actually played this game yet but Ill have to one day. Gimme 10 or so years.

“They really exist. Creatures that crawl out of the Shadow World into our world to feast on humans. We are an inexhaustible food source for them.” When Argo’s sister gets kidnapped by a monster after an ill-considered adventure into the forest, he embarks on a quest to save her.
But he’s still a child and as such his powers are limited. Until he meets Alminnan, a shadow creature that offers him its powers if he allows it to possess him, transforming Argo into a half shadow. Can he trust Alminnan? And what horrors will he encounter on his journey?
Sinister Tale of Argo was a game project that a bud of mine and I worked on quite some time ago. It was supposed to be a spiritual successor to our game jam game Argo. We took the premise of the original and planned to expand on it but never got around to finishing it. And so I decided to finally free the OST I had created for the first portion of the game from its prison (meaning my hard drive). The very first track I made was some variation of Born From Shadows. It served as a kind of music version of concept art. Its purpose was to try out the audio direction and introduce some motives that Id want to use in future tracks. I thought itd be interesting to make the soundtrack a mix of orchestral and chiptune to complement the mix of pixel art and the bleak and dark world. This surely isnt the first game to do this but it was still an interesting challenge. Ive written some chiptune only tracks and some orchestral only tracks before. Combining both to pull out their individual strengths made this into a very interesting project!
