For starters, the use of custom assets isn't something I'm completely against for portals, orbs and pads, but it does get a bit problematic if you use custon assets for spikes. Most hitbosex in the level feel very unclear because of this. The hitboxes themselfs are also completely static while the plants which are supposed to represent the spike more around. This is the map that I was dreading the most throughout the entire mod. I have never been a fan of theo gameplay, so looking at this before I started Grandmaster I wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to pull through with it but here we are. This map is pretty fun, but there were a couple of moments where I got pretty frustrated. Most notable, the final room is just a giant difficulty spike for no reason. This is the first time I've had 2 simultaneous list records and man does it feel good to actually have this done. When I started this a few weeks after completing Bloodlust this level was really intimidating, and doing runs felt impossible, but I did get half of the level down pretty quickly. I realized that the second half is the easier half though, and the first half just felt impossible. How was I ever gonna get consistent o nthe first drop, let alone the predrop? Well, I did. Sort of. It took me over a month to get past the first drop for the first time. After that, honestly, it was pretty smooth sailing overall. I spent the remaining 7 days getting past the first drop more and more, getting 81, 93 twice and a couple of other deaths there. The last drop, while easier than the first, is really chokable. Every death there was either a nerve death or an actual difficult part, yet it also felt like it was my own fault, instead of that of the game (That's a positive thing imo btw). Eventually, I knew I could do it, I just had to wait it out, an lo and behold, it happened. Every part feels like it should be consistent, but it just isn't. It really sucks and you'll just have to bash your head against a wall ultim you can finally play Russian Roulette with the key parts.
