How to make distressed grey leather Drawbridge Props & Armoury 2020-04-24 | How to distress grey leather. Tutorial on how to make distressed leather. Vegetable tanned grey leather is easy to make these simple techniques. I show the process of making vinegaroon and using it to dye leather grey and then add a patina. Paint and aging tutorial on how to make movie props and breakdown leather costumes for cosplay. This technique is great for natural dying of leather and is non toxic. Using white vinegar, steel wool and baking soda the dying/aging process can be applied easily to a leather project. I coat the final piece with matte clear acrylic paint to seal the finished leather item. Samurai Armor: Edo Tokyo and Japanese Sword Museum Virtual Tours Drawbridge Props & Armoury 2020-04-03 | Join for a virtual tour of Samurai armor and swords in Tokyo, Japan. Today we visit the Edo-Tokyo Museum and the Japanese Sword Museum in Tokyo to see katana, wakizashi, and oshigata (art of sword hamon tracing on paper), scale models, and full sets of Edo period samurai armor on display. These museums are both amazing things to do in Tokyo and can be great experiences for kids or adults. There are many interactive displays and a ton of full sized scale models to view in this massive museum. The museum is right next to the Ryogoku Station and the sumo wrestlers arena. This area has great parks, restaurants and is a great place to walk by the river. Samurai Armor Tokyo: Imperial Palace and Yūshūkan War Museum Drawbridge Props & Armoury 2020-02-15 | Samurai armour in museums around Tokyo! Today we explore the Imperial Palace ground, visit Yushukan Shrine and Yushukan War Museum in Tokyo. We found 4 sets of real samurai armor (yoroi) along with 2 real kabuto and a whole bunch of mengu, men-yoroi (samurai masks) There was also a visual display of the Japanese Tachi sword making process. The Yushukan Museum also contains a war museum showing off planes, submarines and weapons! We are taking an amazing holiday and finding great things to do in Tokyo. Making a Makers Mark - How to make a blacksmiths touch stamp Drawbridge Props & Armoury 2018-04-24 | Today I show you how I made a maker's mark for marking steel, brass, leather and wood. Using an engraver I hand engraves the Drawbridge “Portcullis” logo onto O1 Tool Steel and shapes it like a shield using his makita power file. He hardens it in canola oil and then tempers it to straw colour and cools again in oil. I'll walk you through all the steps on how to make your own touch mark at home. Using bbq rotisserie motors I make a spinning stand for displaying goods. These rotary tables can be used as art displays or for showing off goods in a store.
