When I get notified that someone is going to make a response to me, I wait for that response to come. That most certainly happened with Blaze’s response to me, and it had the same problems as his video on Puppet and much more. From him being repetitive about how he wasn’t mainly arguing with puppet, putting random YouTube users that have nothing to do with the conversation at hand (Mauler), and putting words in my mouth. Combine that with the condescending attitude in this video and misunderstanding my critiques and the thing I was joking about, and you get a recipe for a bad response. My advice for anyone making response videos in general would be to be mindful about how you come across to people. Like I said in the video, it is nice to see that Blaze is learning more about politics, so I hope that he actually listens to what people have to say on the topic of politics this time. That is the lack of elaboration. I highlighted this briefly when covering the number 4 section of the article itself, but I want to expand on why the lack of elaboration is a problem. The number 2 section just goes over how the animation styles are different and how the elegance of the anime style is nothing new without adding much else to convince the readers to care that much about it. The same could be said about the number 10 section discussed in the rather lengthy editor’s note. Why should the voice acting have the same feel as the original if a lot of the cast members were announced to come back for the English dub? And more importantly, if this is supposed to be canon adjacent according to a post on the Rooster Teeth website (link to that above this section), then how could the moments from the original be worked around that and how would Weiss see those moments from her perspective? There are several possibilities for those moments (that aren’t even elaborated on, but details) to not be there. Whether it would be time or budget constraints or the staff behind the anime adaptation just didn’t know how to work with the moments of character development mentioned in the article. Now, it’s one thing to be brief on details like that and not spoil too much. However, in the case of wanting to make the argument that the original RWBY is better than Ice Queendom in certain aspects, the lack of elaboration hinders the argument by a long shot. At least with the articles from GameRant and TheGamer, these had bad points, however the arguments presented had elaboration behind them. Not good elaboration, mind you, but elaboration nonetheless. This article didn’t give me much to work with, not helping that I am an outsider looking in. Maybe there is something I am missing here.
