The big question: Is the out of box performance as good as the Sakura D5 or better? The Answer...BETTER! A clear evolution from the predecessor platform the Sakura D6 feels great and generates a surprising amount of grip. The chassis shares only a small amount of parts from the D5 and only really resembles it from the middle area. The front and rear ends have been redesigned and the research and development that 3racing did was very successful, mostly I believe because they asked the RC drifting community for their ideas, thoughts and dislikes. I was also vocal about a few things I wished to see. For a sub $200 CAD RWD RC drift chassis kit and the amount of features included it will be really hard to overlook it for another car in the budget category. It honestly hand on heart performs as good as or better than several chassis in the budget class in terms of out of the box performance and that is a verv, very good thing. Once I had the Sakura D6 running however I did notice a few things which I mention in the video that should help all D6 owners currently. I have seen already 3Racing responding to other owner's feedback about certain things and they have stated they are already beginning to seek solutions for these situations. I love to see this to be frank, something I've not really ever seen ever in RC drift...at least not this interactively with the community. I passed the radio to everyone at Wednesday track night at the Strickly Sidewayz Club polished concrete track and pretty much everyone fell in love...even the toughest critics found the D6 to be quick enjoyable and a pleasant surprise.
