In this video, I'll show you how to downgrade to 2.1 using an exploit called Fasthax/Safehax. This works on versions 9.0 through 11.2. This is 100% free! You don't need Cubic ninja, OoT3D, any DSiWare game, or a 2nd console. This is the first step to installing arm9loaderhax. You can finish the installation by using the final link below. I won't be making a video on this. Many people worship the Holy Guide and don't like when videos are made on it because they aren't always 100% accurate.

Soundhax is the recommended free entrypoint for this. Below is a link to the video (also on screen at a few spots). This works on almost any firmware, including the latest (11.2).

Yes, I know the filename says "o3ds" but it's for N3DS too. The guide uses this exact file. The reason there's no N3DS specific file is because N3DS's can't normally be on 2.1. Don't worry, this is safe though.

Q: My top screen is stretched after doing this. What do I do?
A: This is normal if you're on a 2DS. After finishing the A9LH installation, your screen will return to normal.

Q: Does this work on 9.3 - 10.7?
A: Yes, but there's another video for that. This will downgrade you directly to 9.2: youtube.com/watch?v=aYmcF3P6uUc

Q: Do I have to install arm9loaderhax?
A: No, but it's best to install arm9loaderhax. Continue on with the guide at the page linked above.

Q: I get a black screen when launching Safehax. How do I fix this?
A: You need to have a 3DS cartridge inserted into your console for this to work. Any cartridge works.
