The XXL3DDruck project has made a 3 x 4.5 m build volume WAAM printer for marine gearbox manufacturer Reintjes. They hope to save money on molds but also make the gearbox 20% lighter.

UK based Equipmake released its Ampere-220 e-axle system which has 3D printed electric motors. It is lighter weight and has better thermal management thanks to 3D Printing.
