Living hinges are one of the most difficult geometries to prototype or make using 3D printing technology. The most available 3D printing material today is either too weak or too small to print for this application. Onyx, offered by Markforged, can print living hinges from a single material down to 0.3mm thick, and able to withstand thousands of cycles without breaking. It is good for prototyping or end-use purposes.
