Disclaimer: The HUD speedo is showing too much. I have to calibrate it. It's just a way to show the acceleration so don't fret about the speed limit. This car is slow so don't laugh too hard at the performance... ok laugh if you want, but it's a 3l/100 km car and is my daily. Also, all tests were done in Mexico as this kind of extreme power isn't legal here /sarcasm because it's probably just up to the hp it's supposed to be.
I decided to try making an electric supercharger last year but the car I was going to test it on became unavailable so I figured I'd try compound boosting my Volvo 1.6D. It has a tiny turbo so I had to really restrict the supercharger with a converging coupler but it actually works. Because of the successful proof of concept I will try it on a Honda CRV later. It should be a much better fit for that NA engine. Hopefully we can find a tunable ECU, but if not then it's probably not going to create enough boost to damage anything.

I used a HET 800-83-510 motor on 12S lipo. My future plan involved a TP Power TP5660 2038kv motor instead on either a large 3S or 4S lipo and 400 A ESC. That would make it easy to make a current limited charge circuit from the alternator for a more permanent setup.
