In this video I 3D printed a new grille for my Jaguar x-type.
The old grille looks a bit outdated, but the facelift grills or the one from tuning companies are quite expensive. I saw some for even 500+$. So instead I designed a grille myself and paid only around 30$ on parts.
My design is based a bit on the more modern Jaguars like the Jaguar F-Type.
This is my first time printing a car parts and I’m happy with the result. With those 3D printers almost everything is possible now.
The filament I Used is ApolloX. This is strong but easier to print than ABS. When I’m printing bigger parts with ABS I have terrible warping and cracking. With the Apollo X I didn’t experience this.
I printed on an Ender 3 printer. Those are cheap to get.

What do you guys think of this? I kept the original grille, so I can always convert back to original in just 4 screws. But for now I like this more sportier and moderner look.
