How was your weekend?
Today’s video is a take on some ribbon roses I used to make many years ago. I learned how to make them so that I could create my own wedding bouquets but I got kinda obsessed with them and ended up having enough roses to make about 10 bouquets (I only needed 4)! If you’ve never tried making the satin ribbon variety, I strongly advise it because there are few things more therapeutic!
Making these resin roses isn’t quite as therapeutic, I’ll admit, but the results are so cool. If you get really slick at making them and manage to get the resin really thin, I think they would look amazing in a quirky bouquet. I guess it would take quite a bit of patience given the number of pours needed for many roses, but I feel that’s something people who are into resin already need 😅
You could also use resin skins from your mixing containers. These sometimes come out in a perfect cup shape so you could spiral them from there.
