Docker is the current darling of the DevOps communities and is being adopted by many developers. Docker is a great way to create portable applications and has many uses for Drupal developers. The presentation will provide a primer on getting started with Docker and specifically using with Drupal. Then I will cover some of the general use cases for Docker with Drupal: Local Development, module/core development and testing and finally and running your site using Docker. The final part of the presentation will be dedicated to projects that make using Docker with Drupal specifically Bowline.
The presentation will be targeted at Drupal developers who have basic understanding of virtual servers and the linux command line (bash) as much of configuring Docker is done with the command line. I will have live docker demonstations that will be using the command line.
