Yes! I get to go to the next level! Oh. By the way. Just so you know, this is the theme that plays when you complete a level in Super Mario Bros. Please comment and rate.

This time, the music is listed in the credits, so there's no need to put it here as well.
To do it, you must have Windows Vista or higher and a program you can run as administrator.
How-to:
1) Go to a level with fog, like Bob-Omb Battlefield.
2) Pause the emulator and then minimize it.
3) Open a program that makes the UAC prompt appear.
4) After you've clicked "Yes" on the "Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer?" thing, go back to the emulator and unpause/resume.
5) Spooky darkness.

I don't know what this is called. All I know is that it plays after beating the final boss of the game, and that I can't find a name or a download for it ANYWHERE. I could only get it from a YouTube video that happened to use it, namely this one: youtube.com/watch?v=AOYpyfQfoXM
Quick note: If you're using the Rice Video Plugin with Project 64, you do not need to use this method. Instead, in Project 64 you can go to "Configure Graphics Plugin", go to the DirectX tab, and find the drop-down menu that says "Depth Buffer Type". Change that from "16-bit (def)" to "32-bit (signed)" and click OK, and you're good to go. However, if you're using the default Jabo's plugin, the 3D Analyze method is the only known solution.

Oh yeah, I suppose I should have listed the Cup Girl[1][2] in the Cast at the end, but I forgot... Oh well.

The two seconds of black at 15:48 - 15:50 were not intentional. Sony Vegas screwed up when rendering that part, and it's not important enough to me to go back and re-render.

Verily, I say...
Ergo!
However, what if you did the same thing to the SNES version? I decided to find out. To do this, I inserted the flagpole into the NES 8-4, and then used the utility SMB2SMC (http://smascentral.webege.com/wiki/File:Smb2smc.zip) to import the SMB1 NES hacked level into Super Mario Collection (Japanese version of Mario All-Stars). Then I played the game, grabbed the flag, and saw what happened.
The results...uh, they're interesting alright. No really, what IS this level?
-TECHNICAL DETAILS BELOW, TURN AWAY IF YOU DON'T LIKE THOSE-
Note, however, that SMB2SMC seems to change more than just the bytes that get swapped around from adding the flagpole, so if that change were the ONLY change done to the ROM, the results may have been different...or maybe not. Also, since this is the Japanese version of All-Stars (SMB2SMC won't work with any other version for some reason), the results could be different if this were attempted on the USA or Europe versions.
However, what if you hacked the game to place the gray block closer to the end of the level so that you can get there in time? I was always curious about that, so I decided to find out. The result? Well, it's not that interesting, but if you've wondered the same thing, then watch the video.
I used SMB3 Workshop to hack the game, which can be downloaded here: http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/298

Oh yeah, I got onto the water using a moon jump code.
Code:
D0071337 0020
8010DAF4 0043
Note: The code only works on the European (PAL) version of the game. As of yet, nobody's made an American (NTSC) version. I don't know why.

Oh yeah, the custom level used during the hospital scene? I made that myself. Everything else was SM64 Star Road (by Skelux), though (except for the green screen clips; those were done on a green screen ROM).

There is a Luigi voice sound effect at around the 10:52 point when Luigi isn't talking. It was going to be used but I decided to use a different one, and I guess I forgot to delete it. Not sure how that happened. So, we'll just say Luigi's balls itched or something, I don't know. What I DO know is that I'm not going to render the whole thing all over again just to fix that one mistake.

The other hack I was working on, "Super Mario Bros. - Quest for the Moon Herbs" has sort of been abandoned, but the hack that this overworld is in is kind of a replacement or "reboot". It has a similar story, except with only one "Moon Herb" instead of 8. I decided to do it this way since it's been so long since I edited the ROM for QFTMH that I've forgotten a lot of what I did to it (patches, etc.), and I wasn't sure I wanted to continue making it the way it was (I wanted to try a completely new thing), so I just started over with a blank slate. As for that unnamed hack about Luigi going out to find Mario's stool softener...well, I never made much of that one, so I may start that over sometime in the no-so-soon future, or just dump it entirely...heh, "dump". Heh, story is about Mario being constipated, hur hur punny.
The music is an Addmusic port of "Sora mo Toberu Hazu", by Spitz. It was one of the really old songs included with the original Addmusic. It can be downloaded here: http://bin.smwcentral.net/u/3127/Spitz%2B-%2BSora%2Bmo%2BToberu%2BHazu.txt
In fact, if you're interested, here is a pack of all of those old Addmusic songs. You'll have to add in the Addmusic 4.05 header if you use HuFlungDu's Addmusic. dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30485706/Old%20Custom%20Music.rar

Some boring technical details below, for OCD geeks who actually care:
I didn't render it in 1920x1080, however, but instead in 1236x1080, because of things to do with the aspect ratio. YouTube widescreen is 16:9, but I have a 16:10 monitor, so if I view 16:9 content in full screen, there's black borders at the top and bottom of the screen. So, if I were to render a non-widescreen video like this in widescreen, and view it in full screen, in addition to the borders at the sides I would get borders on the top and bottom as well, which is completely pointless since this isn't 16:9 footage. Thus, I reduced the vertical pixel resolution to match the height of the footage so that there are no top and bottom borders when viewing it on a 16:10 monitor.
Also, the colors may look a bit off (as compared to the other videos in this series). This is because I had to sacrifice a couple of my Sony Vegas project settings in this one due to a mishap where I accidentally made the entire video using different settings than usual, and couldn't change all of them back to the normal ones without messing up...certain scenes with lots of effects. See, I got a new computer recently, and installed the new Sony Vegas 12 on it (I was using Vegas 9 before), and the default settings were different than what I had them set to on Vegas 9, and I accidentally made this whole video using those different settings. I wasn't sure if those different settings would work properly with YouTube, so I tried switching them all back, but there were 2 that I couldn't change without screwing up those flashy scenes, so I just didn't bother. But anyways...

Anyways, here's the long-awaited (maybe; how many people actually watch this series anyway?) Episode 10 of SM64: Attack of the Monkeyshine Army. In this episode, stuff happens!
Music Used (all of them are Mario Galaxy or Super Paper Mario for some reason; one might call this the episode with the least music variety):
Super Mario Galaxy - Speedy Comet

Super Paper Mario - Count Bleck's Plan
Super Mario Galaxy - Interlude
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Unidentified Planet
Super Mario Galaxy - Flying Mario
Super Mario Galaxy - HELP!
Super Mario Galaxy - Bouldergeist (fast)
Super Paper Mario - In the Darkness
As a name like "somecrap.avi" would suggest, this is some crap that I made over a year ago but never really went anywhere with. I decided to show it off on YouTube for kicks.
I WILL be showing gameplay of Super Mario Bros: Quest for the Moon Herbs, as soon as the geeks at SMW Central give me an answer to a little issue I'm having with it (here's the relevant thread: http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=59228).
Also yeah, I'm picking up work on that old hack of mine again.
Just some crappy thing I made with Google SketchUp and Frauber's SM64 Level Importer (and to a lesser degree, Toad's Tool 64, to set the spawn position).
Oh yeah, and I got SM64 to work on my computer. That'll help with my AOTMA laziness.
The old .tk domain was shut down for some reason, so I went back to the wikkii.net domain.
