CWI Chemistry Club visited Arrowrock Dam to learn history and career opportunities in Reclamation!

Ever wondered what it’s like to explore the hidden depths of a massive dam? The Chemistry Club at the College of Western Idaho took on the challenge, venturing down 390 steps and over 1,100 feet through the base of Arrowrock Dam! 💪 Mike Anselme, who oversees operation of Diversion, Arrowrock and Anderson Ranch dams, provided an exclusive history lesson that covered the dam’s 100-year history as well as its vital position in the water storage system of the Columbia–Pacific Northwest Region. Plus, Mike provided the students a sneak peek at the amazing career opportunities in Reclamation. Talk about a field trip to remember!
