In this video I will give you a short intro of my existing 386sx25Mhz test rig, and I will show you the start of the restoration of a “new” 386sx40 Mhz board that I plan to upgrade the test rig with. The 386sx is entry level testbench, and it will run everything a 486 can, but slower. I also have more than one Pentium type of computer, but as for testing of ISA / AT kind of cards I prefer the clean boards with no PCI bridges or other components that can cause compatibility issues. I can tolerate a VESA local bus on a 486 though… #RetroPC #386sx #ComputerRestoration.
