This is by far the most faithful remix of the original SMB Overworld Theme that I've ever done on this channel! I debated for a long time how to do this track, or if I should even include it at all, and I was really close to cutting it! But, I decided for completion's sake to just do this one anyway (and because with how I post these tracks in pairs, the rest of the SMRPG soundtrack lines up really well with this track in the mix haha).

Usually my tracks are very faithful to the original, but if I did that here, I'd just end up posting the original chiptune version lol (which I almost considered doing, recreating the whole track from scratch!)

Instead, I opted to aim for a sound between an acoustic instrumentation and the chiptune original, and that resulted in this idea! I used a clavinet to represent the two pulse waves, a Rhodes for the triangle wave, and then a simple drum kit for the noise channel. I think these choices are pretty fitting for the aforementioned mix of sounds, as clavinet and Rhodes are both acoustic instruments amplified by electronic components!

(...also i think the clavinet samples i have are slightly out of tune on certain notes, and im really hoping its not too noticeable to be distracting lol......................)
