Here's a quick easy recipe on how to make home made granola! more cost effective and you have the great option of customizing how you please. As healthy as granola is it can be very high in calories due to all the oats and nuts!!! yikes! lol

3 cups of old fashioned oats (not the instant stuff please - too thin and will toast and burn too fast)
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup chopped almonds
1 cup unsweetened shredded coconuts (yum)
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup oat bran
2 tbsp ground flax seed
2 tbsp cinnamon

Wet Ingredients
1 cup maple syrup
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tbsp coconut oil (increases nutty flavour potential)

As you can tell from my mix I like a nutty granola. While I never make it the same way twice you can be sure it'll always be packed with nuts!

*Health Note - Granola can be very high in caloric content. Might not be ideal for that individual looking to cut back on calories but otherwise makes a nice filling breakfast. Just FYI
