Another Wednesday, another trip to Croydon to catch a Bulleid passing on a railtour. Last week was the newcomer to the mainline circuit, ‘Eddystone’, this week was a veteran, ‘Braunton’, which was pulling the steam legs of the Golden Arrow from Peterborough to Canterbury and return, steam-hauled between Southall and Canterbury.
I didn’t go to watch Braunton going back up north at Shortlands like I did last week, but also in this video are a couple of the more interesting captures I got this morning before ‘Braunton’ came through:
- An 8-car Turbostar working from Uckfield to London Bridge (2-3-3 formation)
- A Class 66 on an aggregated train to ..somewhere
