Time for the home round of European Hillclimb Championship in Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia! Take a record long list of 228 cars on the start line, a bunch of red flags throughout the two race runs, and you end up with one very long day of racing! Thankfully the race came to an end just in time before the sun set! Kevin Petit (Nova NP01) managed to snatch the win from his brother Sebastien (Nova NP01-2) in race 2, and took the overall win by mere 0.482 seconds! Christian Merli (Nova NP01) finished 3rd, 1.778 behind the winner.
We can't not mention the hero of the day among the touring cars Ronnie Bratschi (Lancer Evo 7 RS) who broke the touring car record in race 1, and then again in race 2! A great display of pushing the limits of the track!

The battle for the victory was decided on the final stage as Marco Signor (Polo R5) took the win just by 1.3 seconds ahead of Corrado Fontana (i20 WRC). On 3rd place followed Rudy Andriolo (Fabia Rally2), 26.6 seconds behind the winner.")
