Most photographers don't even know this stuff. In less than 3 minutes, Double Grand Master photographer (and my idol) Jerry Ghionis explains the formula it's taken him a lifetime of practice to refine - the female pose. It takes only 30 seconds to execute once you learn it.

Any time you take a photo of your finished knitwear, on yourself or on another person, for business or for pleasure, employ these 7 micro-movements to transform any photo from blah to INCREDIBLE.

Makeup, clothing, location... it's all secondary to these essential lighting and posing secrets.

To prove it to you, I used Jerry's tips to photograph myself in a hat I just finished knitting yesterday. No makeup, haircut overdue by months, I was in my bedroom with my bathrobe on. All I did was employ the essential secrets that he teaches above in terms of where the light source is, where the camera is, and where to turn the body and face relative to the light.

And wow, the photo speaks for itself. Any knitwear photo, hobbyist or professional, will be enhanced immeasurably by these techniques.

I break down his technique and show my sample photos in the blog post here: new.knitfreedom.com/blog/posing-guide

Please leave me a comment and let me know how interesting this was for you, on a scale of 1-10. What was the most interesting thing about this for you? Thank you!

Thank you so much for your feedback and see you next Wednesday with another eye-opening video clip.

Love,
Liat
