PLOT: In the year 2020, due to prison overcrowding, a new technology ages prisoners the amount of jail time they would normally receive. In Stamford, Connecticut, Vincent 'Vinnie' Dawson (HUGH O'CONOR), a 15 year old boy, is wrongly convicted of murdering his stepfather and is sentenced to 30 years. Now 45 years old, Vincent (ROBERT HAYS) sets out to prove his innocence and regain his life back, but it also means giving up the woman he has fallen in love with (AMY ROBBINS).
"30 years to life", premiered on the American television network UPN on October 15, 1998 as part of it's weekly "Thursday Night at The Movies" block, and was originally under the brand of movie series called "Nightworld", which were co-productions of Canadian and Luxembourg studios "Alliance Atlantis Communications", "Chesler/Perlmutter Productions" and "Delux Productions S.A."
30 Years to Life was filmed on location in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
