The Nostalgic Gamer presents 30 Years of Capcom: A Visual Retrospective.

An overview of the many games from the Japanese company.

Editor's Notes: The premise for this video was to feature many of the video games worked on by the company during its 30 years in the industry. Some of these games you may be familiar with while others you may not be. Over those years, Capcom has been a developer, publisher, distributor, and manufacturer of numerous games. With their games, Capcom would either fulfill all of these roles or only one of them. Also, their role in many video game releases would occasionally vary according to the region. For instance, some games would be released by them in one region while others may not have been or at all. These are based on the game releases most familiar to North America, Europe, Asia, and Japan. In the interest of time and preventing repetition, many of the ports and collections were not included in this video. While some of the more noteworthy ports may not have made the cut, many of the significant remakes and updates were.

Songs featured in this video are from Marvel vs. Capcom, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Crimson Tears, Gyakuten Saiban, Dragon's Dogma, and Bionic Commando.

This is planned to be the first of a number of tribute videos related to Capcom. The next video is going to be a tribute to the fans of Capcom. Looking back on the impact it's had on players all over the world, Capcom has one of the most creative and dedicated fanbases out there and they've become a part of what makes being a Capcom fan so great. It'll be a tribute to the many fans over the years who continue to express their love and passion in so many different ways. The teaser at the end of the video should give you an idea of what that video will be like.
