In my last video I mentioned using pattern weights instead of pins and many of you were excited to see them in action :) . Pattern weights are used to hold down a paper pattern onto fabric so you can easily trace or cut out the pattern using a rotary cutter. My original pattern weights are just simple squares of fabric and I wanted to explore some other methods using scrap fabrics and other things I had in my stash.

To make these weights you will need scraps of fabric- 3.5'' x 7'' for the squares, 3'' x 6'' for the triangles and 7.5'' round for the dumplings. You will also need rice as the weight. For the triangles and squares I also used my sewing machine & thread, iron & ironing board, and hand needle & thread. For the dumplings I used tiny rubber bands and ribbon :)
