Lindsay Adler, a beauty and fashion photographer, shares three departments where one can make money when photographing men: headshots, commercials/catalogues, and athletes.

When you’re shooting headshots, your goal should be to find expressions and poses that best represent your male model, making the photos seem genuine. This will pull recruiters to know the model through their headshots and make you more money as you build your rep as a portrait photographer.

Moreover, when shooting for a commercial/catalogue, Lindsay says to incorporate an upbeat feel to the photos, letting the model showcase the clothes freely. As long as you’re communicating the brand’s voice and style through the model’s clothes and movements, you can rest assured that you’ll be a photographer they’ll keep hiring.

Finally, shooting athletes would also get you a lot of money, as athletes tend to gravitate towards certain photographers who can highlight their features in a certain way. In the video, Lindsay shows how a backlight can help define an athlete's muscles --- a tip to keep in mind!
