3. The Sound of Changing Place
Just two weeks until ‘Autofiction’ is out and so I’m continuing on with spotlighting some of the songs that didn’t make it as singles.
I wrote this one a couple of weeks before heading out on tour with the @realestateband legends. I wanted to play a couple of new ones in the set and so this one came to be quite quickly.
I had just been listening to the @hydroplaneband album ‘The Sound of Changing Places’ and was immediately inspired to write lyrics to what the title of that album meant to me. I thought I’d name the song after the album name in honour of such an amazing record.
Megan Lama added the background vocals and elevated it as always!

So distant from it all
I swear this time will take
