Are the stories in the Gospels based on eyewitness testimony? Let's look at three reasons why I think so.
One question often asked by those deconstructing their faith is this: Are the Gospels written by eyewitnesses or at least use eyewitness material? After all, Mark is thought to be the testimony of Peter and Peter would count as an eyewitness to many of the events in the Gospels. Luke states outright that he relied on multiple sources so he could be said to be using eyewitness material.
