THE QUESTION IS WILL I STILL ADORE THESE SERIES AFTER THEIR FOLLOW-UPS??????
Okay, ya'll. If you remember earlier this year I uploaded a video sharing 3 Popular Cozy Mysteries I'm ADORING. Well, I decided to take this last month of 2019 (and decade) to take on the follow-up reads regarding these series. I'm just here to share those books, give you a little insight on what I'm anticipating from them, and open up the phone lines for conversation about them. That's what some of us are here for, right? LOL.
Books mentioned...
1. Framed in Lace (#2 Needlecraft Mystery) by Monica Ferris
"When the historic Hopkins ferry is raised from the lake, a skeleton is discovered. Unfortunately, the only evidence is a piece of lace-like fabric. But once Betsy Devonshire and the patrons of her needlecraft shop lend a hand, they're sure to stitch together the details of this mystery..."
2. Buried Bones (#2 Southern Mississippi Delta Mystery) by Carolyn Haines
"Ambrose, once a famous man of southern letters, is planning a comeback: a delicious tell-all with a bitchy ex-model as his “biographer.” As he taunts his dinner guests with the news that his book will blow the lid off Zinnia’s darkest secrets, it becomes plain that each and every guest has a secret—and wants Ambrose to keep it. When the morning-after mess includes a bloody corpse and the manuscript of the biography disappears, Sarah Booth goes digging for answer."
3. Shades of Earl Grey (#3 Tea Shop Mysteries) by Laura Childs
"Theo is mingling with the cream of Charleston society at the engagement soiree of the season. But as they eagerly await the dazzling young couple’s arrival—the groom meets with a freak accident. The exquisite wedding ring—a family heirloom from the crown of Marie Antoinette—is mysteriously missing. Theodosia suspects that trouble is brewing. But when she goes to the authorities, they treat her like she’s been reading tea leaves—and that’s the surest way to put Theodosia’s kettle on the boil…"
Interested in some tea since we're SPEAKING about tea? And, well, you can have it with your reading. Anyway, check out Denise's (bit.ly/2RVE5gc) daughter's Shopify shop HERE natashas-teas.myshopify.com for some tea. I promise it'll have more flavor than... well... I ain't gonna shade Theodosia Browning like that. Her next book may be good. Then I'll have to come back and eat crow.
