I thought about this video long and hard.
I decided to do something a bit different.
And I didn't know how to express it out loud.
So I thought I'd write it.
And you'd read it.
This video comes in three parts.
Part One: What is a Nerdfighter?
Someone that values:
Making the world a better place, other people, individuality, education/knowledge, acceptance, quirky-ness.
You don't have to love John Green's Books, love Hank's music, or adore any of their videos/YouTube Channels in order to be a Nerdfighter. If you WANT to be a Nerdfighter you ARE a Nerdfighter! You know, if you want to be a Nerdfighter, that's pretty awesome, so then you are awesome, and well, why don't we just celebrate our mutual awesome-ness together?
Part Two: Will I fit in?
No matter the differences in culture or interest, one thing brings all of the Nerdfighters together, making the world a better place for everyone. (If you are still unsure) Nerdfighteria is one of the fastest growing internet communities the world has ever seen! There are many different kinds of people with millions of different interests, fandoms, and talents; Nerdfighteria is a melting pot of different cultures and interests making it a 'made of awesome' community.
Part 3: Why am I a Nerdfighter?
I've never really given being a Nerdfighter much thought.
The moment I watched a Vlogbrothers video, the moment I joined the ning, the moment I read LFA I just knew. Personally, it wasn't a conscience decision. I just kept watching the videos and suddenly I was 'made of awesome', I had this confidence I'd never experienced before. This love of, well, everything. John Green once said: "It made me fall in love with the world again."
You know John; I did too; first slowly, and then all at once.
