This week's prep focus is on developing critical skills. Knowledge has an indefinite shelf life, is 100 percent portable, and frequently only requires time and willingness to work to attain. The more you know, the better off you will be. Prep focus tasks for Week 10 includes:
1. Make a list of skills that you feel are valuable. Select one to work on learning.
2. Inventory your personal skill set and the skills of those in your family or group. What skill set is missing?
3. Do you have skills that you can teach others? Offer to mentor someone.
4. Do you know how to grow a garden? Can you increase the food that you produce on your own property?
5. Can you cook from scratch? That is getting to be rare in our society. Great skill!
6. Home preservation skills. Do you know how to bottle, dehydrate, freeze-dry, or freeze food to extend the shelf life?
7. What about simple home repair, small engine repair, carpentry, hunting, fishing, or leadership skills? Which of these skills would it make sense for you to learn more about?
