This 2005 Mercury Sable 3.0 no-start had already been through three ECMs and a pile of parts before it got to us. The scan tool gives us a direction right away, but this case is a good reminder that codes do not replace basic testing.

Beau and I work through spark, injector pulse, fuel pressure, fuel pump current, and the anti-theft question without jumping to conclusions. This one is all about no-start fundamentals and proving the fault before replacing more parts.
