We thought this table was going to kick off the next chapter of The Collaboratory, our creative collaborative space we’re building in White Hall, Maryland.
Instead, it nearly ended up in the burn pile.
Between a catastrophic CNC Z-zero mistake, a failed glue-up, and feed rates that turned an inlay into a projectile launcher, we managed to create three completely avoidable problems on a build that had nearly $2,500 in materials tied up in it.
The good news? We learned a lot.
In this video, I’m breaking down the three biggest mistakes we made, how they happened, and what I’d do differently if I had to build this table again.
