First, the MAHA movement and shifting consumer preferences. If it’s ultra-processed, it’s under fire. That changes demand in ways a lot of producers aren’t ready for.
Second, trade. Some commodities depend on global markets to survive—others get used as leverage in geopolitical fights. That creates clear winners and losers.
Third, supply versus demand. This is the one nobody likes to admit: you don’t get to produce your way out of a demand problem. At some point, supply has to adjust.
These aren’t trends on the horizon—they’re happening right now.
