2XKO might be the hardest fighting game I've ever played and not in a good way.
In this video I break down why the controls feel so unintuitive, why "S1" and "S2" function as just more normal moves, why Smash Bros works as a comparison point that 2XKO can't match, and what the original Rising Thunder vision had to give up to become this.
⏱️ TIMESTAMPS
00:00 The controls aren't intuitive
00:47 What even makes S1 and S2 special?
02:00 Why Smash Bros works and 2XKO doesn't
03:13 Every character is an exception to a non-existing rule
03:43 Yasuo, Blitzcrank, and the rhyme-or-reason problem
05:03 Who is this game even for?
06:43 The League of Legends crossover that never happened
07:16 Why motions actually free up buttons
09:08 You're not playing — you're inputting a code
11:31 Rote memorization isn't intuition
13:08 I rage harder at 2XKO than any game I've played
14:30 The DI problem and muscle memory
15:00 The Rising Thunder irony
16:12 The Steam problem (and what Samurai Shodown taught us)
16:58 Closing: who are you marketing this to?
