Scrappy Kathy | 2nd Line 4 Jimmy || LOAD Day 23 || Would you wear a tux to a jazz funeral for Jimmy Buffett? @scrappykathy | Uploaded May 2024 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Based on James Bond's oft-worn tuxedoes the prompt today is about getting dressed up -- something I rarely do these days. But this occasion (which I was unable to attend....) is one I'd have certainly dressed up for -- not in a tux or a fancy beaded gown but in my best, most colorful Parrothead attire and carrying my biggest, brightest, most tropical umbrella and with lanyards and bracelets and other souvenirs from the 40+ years that Jimmy Buffett music brightened up my life and provided the sound track for my life with John. I was there in spirit and I felt the beat and smiled the smiles and cried the tears.
I kept to the black and white prompt for my page -- except for the gloriously colorful photos and the parrot presiding over the festivities. I've used mostly Vicki Boutin's Discover+Create with Bramble Fox Perspextives and a Bramble Fox die for the umbrellas. And, appropriately enough, I used the black and grey sketch from the Rainbow Event at Scrap a Sketch.
Thanks for watching! See you tomorrow with Mixed Media Mayhem in the morning and Pinkfresh Friday in the afternoon using tomorrow's LOAD prompt.
