Bangar Ruinbringer Guild Wars 2 PMV: Rains of Castamere (SPOILERS) moldypaw 2021-06-14 | I've been planning to make some GW2 PMV for quite some time and I think Bangar was the perfect material for it. He's this kind of villain one just loves to hate. First I waited for Icebrood Saga to finish though because I wanted to see how Bangar's story ends. And well, we didn't see... much. That's good in a way, a pathetic off-screen ending for a f@scist kitty. No glory, no dramatism. Just a short piece of information about him literally melting and possibly dying. So I just went with the initial draft I had ready for months.Of course, I had to change some things from how they were in-game for the sake of drama. The actual story: Pigeonthroat is a RiverClan warrior. His closest friend, Mumblemist, doesn't return from a battle with ThunderClan and his body can't be found. RiverClan doesn't seem to care this much, so Pigeonthroat rebels against his clan leader's orders and goes on a journey to solve the mystery. A rogue advises him to find an old loner (the "Witch") who lives with a pack of wolves in the mountains and seems to possess nearly divine magical skills. Pigeonthroat manages to get to her place and she agrees to help him for the price of his soul. He's desperate, so he agrees. She feeds him mysterious herbs and tells him to taste the water from a pond shown by her. He does as he was instructed and has a vision of ShadowClan warriors, Boarpelt and Flamefeather, dragging unconscious Mumblemist and pushing him into a deep pit, where he eventually dies because of starvation and injuries. Perhaps because of the price he had to pay the Witch, perhaps because he's blinded by the need for revenge, he becomes an empty and cruel shell of his former self and starts a murder spree on those who did him wrong.
