On 2b2t.org, Minecraft's most infamous anarchy server; I wanted to know what spawn would be like if there was no cobblestone from the years of lava casts. Using part of the 100k world download, I extracted 1500 block radius of spawn and then used MCEdit to remove all it's cobblestone.
Here's what it looks like.
