Well finally I’m able to get the video edited out and uploaded! I apologize to those that have come to expect a weekly upload, unfortunately (or fortunately 🤪) the bill paying business has grown busy in the past few weeks. Finding time at the lathe has been difficult, let alone editing a video out. Anyway no need to tell a sob story...
This weeks project is the Maker’s Bowl. A bowl that embodies what we do and who we are. It is going to be used as a show piece for our table at craft fairs so customers are aware of what we can do. Hopefully opening up more opportunity for custom commissioned pieces. The project started out with a 12” walnut blank from turningblanks.net, some backwards letters and a router. The green Alumilite resin was poured from the bottom to save resin. The piece was finished off with Acks abrasive paste and polishing/restoring paste. Though a great food safe finish this piece is specifically for show. Please enjoy!
