Hey all!
The curious thing about the Phong model is that the specularity increases in size as the light source gets further and further away (while also dimming) meaning this is ideal for the point lamp.
The harsh appearing normals you see is flat shading, not the normals acting up. I just didn't smooth shade the meshes.
This was the first model that worked and as you can see, like the others, the specularity and diffuse is texturable.
