From the producers of Radiolab, More Perfect is a series about how the Supreme Court got so supreme. And this fall, More Perfect is doing something brand new: They're making an album of original music inspired by the 27 amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
The Mellowtones, a student group at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. — led by their teacher Mark G. Meadows — wrote a song about the 23rd Amendment, which reserves the right of citizens residing in the District of Columbia to vote for the U.S. President.
Alongside the album, More Perfect will be launching the third season of they're podcast, which deep-dives into the history and resonance of the constitutional amendments with off-beat stories and lush sound.
