Mixers and taps in clinical areas in healthcare facilities must meet the challenges of hygiene, safety and comfort. The new 2640 mixer with a sequential cartridge meets the needs of different users perfectly.
This product is very ergonomic, it has a long lever allowing control without any manual contact, using the elbow, wrist or forearm. It’s also very ergonomic thanks to the sequential cartridge, opening and the closing with cold water, so there’s increased anti-scalding safety; and we have a single, lateral movement of the lever to open the flow and adjust the temperature. An additional advantage of this product is that opening with cold water allows cold water only to be drawn, without drawing any hot water.
This mixer is also thermally insulated, by design: hot water is never in contact with the walls of the mixer body, so the user can’t burn themselves if they touch the mixer body.
It has a thermal shock feature because we know that in hospitals, thermal shocks are common in the fight against Legionella. This mixer features a little red override button behind the lever so a thermal shock can take place without removing the lever or shutting off the water supply.
The volume of standing water in this mixer is kept to a strict minimum. We have small tubes that go from the water inlets to the spout outlet, which drastically reduce the volume and therefore prevent stagnation which is a major cause of bacterial development. This design also prevents water from coming into contact with metallic elements such as chrome, nickel and lead, delivering water that is safer and healthier.
This mixer has a 120mm long spout which can swivel; it can be fixed in place using a small screw at the back. It’s also available for sinks with a longer spout of 120mm.
