The parata di piccio is also called a sforzo. If you use it as a parry it is a parata di piccio or a mostly called a beat parry. This video is a bout the parata contro di piccio which includes a circle parry with a beat movement.
We are not doing olympic fencing but historical fencing or HEMA, which means we follow the book "Scuola della spada" from Paolo de Scalzi from 1853. He taught the sword or epee as it were a sharp weapon aka a dueling sword and you better don't get hit. That makes fencing the martial art and real fighting as it should be seen as, just as it were taught in European weapons training for centuries!
