name kinda says it all, i think. unless you don't know who Steve Reich is. which maybe you don't. that's ok, he's easy to look up, and if you listen to his pieces Clapping Music and Drumming you'll get a pretty good idea of the compositional devices he's most known for.
the bit here is that i actually didn't really imitate the specific thing he does, which is having multiple players play the same rhythm but offset from each other to create new composite rhythms, i just rotated the note order in the static rhythm. but i liked how this sounded better than trying to do his actual shtick so i stuck with it. thanks
