Here is 256 16 bit word storage in minecraft, one of the smallest, fastest, and pistonless designs. It is all addressed and is about 20 ticks unsynced.
What this means;
256 16 bit words,
512 8 bit words,
1024 4 bit words ( a KIBIBYTE)
Wow thats alot of memory.
